Sometimes the design requires a blend of buttercream and fondant techniques. This little beauty was created using textured buttercream along with a fondant tree bark design, accented with hand painted silver tree bark. And to finish the design, an array of sugar flowers including sunflowers, roses, and my personal favorite, peonies!

I was hoping to be able to post more during the off-season, but I've been staying just as busy as the summer months. Hopefully I'll be able to post sneak peaks in the story. Stay tuned as I attempt to keep up with some of our amazing creations!

Mackinac Island was the perfect backdrop for Kellen’s proposal to Emilly! It was the most beautiful 74 degree day, sunny, and oh so breezy and relaxing. He proposed on the beach, celebrated with some champagne, and we continued to take photos downtown. We ended the evening at the gorgeous innatstonecliffe (the most beautiful resort EVER!) Thank you Bethany for being so welcoming and helpful!
